Job Description
- Supervise the Procurement team
- Request, follow up and evaluate quotations submitted by suppliers and bill of quantity costing (if available) through email or phone call.
- Negotiate price and delivery lead time.
- For big projects, schedule pre-award meeting for the winning supplier/ contractor.
- Endorse Item Code and Vendor Code to SAP Admin (if necessary).
- Generate Purchase Order, endorse printed file to Admin Assistant and send signed through email or fax.
- Request shop drawing and technical data sheet.
- Monitor and coordinate delivery schedule to engineers.
- Attend kick- off and supplier or contractor coordination meeting.
- Assist in scheduling supplier’s product presentation.
- Coordinate with supplier or contractor for the requirements needed for emergency works.
- Source out new possible supplier and contractor.
- Perform other tasks may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree holder, preferably in Engineering
- Knows how to handle queries from clients and suppliers.
- Must have a background in engineering equipment, tools and materials
- Must be punctual, honest, hard-working and has a positive attitude.
- Has excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Can work with minimal supervision and under pressure.
