Job Description
- Validates received instructions from immediate superior by conferring and clarify understanding to efficiently direct the department.
- Coordinates with other department heads by discussing and deliberating on their particular roles, collaborations, and concurrence to facilitate synergy across the organization.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures to facilitate a well-organized and excellent operations scheme.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols to protect the organization’s assets.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system to make sure that the department can comply and accommodate materials requirements of projects.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for a replacement to facilitate good housekeeping.
- Coordinates operational redesign projects by generating and implementing innovations for a logistical competitive advantage that improve performance.
- Analyzes financial impressions by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
- Organizes and prioritizes daily work orders by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results to complete warehouse operational requirements.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees to meet manpower workload needs.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results to facilitate adherence to organization performance standards.
- Prepares various reports by documenting and confirming key milestones to keep immediate superior and top management informed.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Performs other functions which may be required by the immediate superior from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- With a Bachelor of Science degree in any Business related course
- With at least five years of relevant work experience
