Job Description
- Validates instructions by conferring with the immediate superior to ensure clear understanding of such.
- Collaborates with other members of the department by attending meetings and exchanging of relevant documents to facilitate congruency.
- Prepares an evaluation form by receiving specifications of needed materials from the appropriate department to facilitate sourcing of suppliers or subcontractors.
- Updates canvass sheet by using the appropriate computer software to facilitate information process.
- Selects three (3) suppliers or subcontractors by comparing based on which best suits the costing and specifications to narrow down choices.
- Negotiates by considering the factors such as best price and terms, warranty and fastest delivery commitment to facilitatedecision on which will be most profitable for the company without sacrificing quality.
- Acquires immediate superior’s approval by presenting documentations of negotiations conducted to facilitate finalization.
- Maintains various documents by utilizing appropriate office equipments and computer software to facilitate safekeeping.
- Maintains a database of suppliers or subcontractors by regularly updating contact details from time to time for future reference.
- Performs other functions which maybe required by the immediate superior from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
- At least three years of relevant work experience.
- Communication skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Technical capacity.
- Commercial awareness.
- Eager to follow through: persistence.
