Job Description
- Validate instructions received by conferring with the immediate superior to clarify understanding thereof.
- Confirm role within and apart of the project team by coordinating with the superior and other members of the project team to facilitate establishment of responsibilities.
- Review project proposals by conferring with the immediate superior to develop project objectives and specifications.
- Consult with construction professionals by liaising to determine feasibility of the project.
- Work around constraining factors by determining town planning legislations, environment impact and project budget to ensure compliance thereof.
- Calculate timeframes and sequences by:
- Studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Completing technical studies.
- Preparing cost estimates to determine project specifications.
- Create Construction Schedule by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements to determine project responsibilities.
- Choose materials to be used by reviewing specification requirements to ensure adherence to client preference.
- Control project plan by:
- Reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes.
- Recommending actions to facilitate adherence to the plan and standards previously defined.
- Maintain project schedule by:
- Monitoring project progress.
- Coordinating activities.
- Resolving problems to conduct immediate necessary changes and ensure timely project wrap-up.
- Control project costs by:
- Approving expenditures.
- Administering contractor contracts to facilitate adherence to project budget.
- Prepare project status reports by:
- Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Recommending actions to keep immediate superior, management and client posted on the progress of the project.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations to comply with organization and state policies.
- Maintain project manual and conduct by documenting on-site observations and reviews to facilitate information process.
- Prepare for close-out by drafting observation reports to facilitate turn-over to client.
- Perform other functions which may be required by the immediate superior from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
- At least three years of work experience in similar work environment.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of construction.
