Job Description
What would you be doing
- 1st month? Meet the team and get familiar with projects, visions, and strategies.
- 2nd month? Ramp-up activities like code reviews, testing, reducing technical debt.
- 3rd month? All of the above, plus start getting knee deep with key projects, such as:
- An automated video analyzer well beyond providing insights (AI anyone?)
- An automated channel growth predictor (big data challenges at their best)
- Freedom! Wallet (global payment portal and factoring service)
- Your ideas?
Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality code in accordance with company development practices and QA specifications
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
- Producing detailed specifications and documentation
- Troubleshooting, testing and maintaining the core product software and databases
- Provide insightful and best practice recommendations during code review to improve the overall quality of the code
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience operations research, statistics, engineering, or mathematics
- 5+ years full time software development experience in Node.js with mySQL
- Previous experience with a variety of the following is key: PHP & Laravel, Python & Flask, Node.js, Linux/Ubuntu, AWS, Vue.js, Angular, React, TypeScript, MySql, MongoDB, DevOps, Agile, Scrum
- You should be comfortable with rapid development processes, contributing to technical architectures and requirements, building prototypes, releasing and supporting products.
- Excellent communication skills, must be able to communicate with business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid experience with TDD, BDD, ATDD and have experience with performance and security QA
- Experience of working within an Agile development process (Scrum, SAFe or similar)
- Experience with CD systems and Cloud Deployment
