Resident Naturalist  

Internally, resident naturalists serve as area managers within the georeserve. They lead the following initiatives and activities:

1. Lead guest experience execution and operations involving bringing groups of 2-14 guests around educational nature trails. This includes the following:

• Sharing and dissemination of facts, & insights that will allow the guests to appreciate the georeserve, its flaura and its fauna

• Keeping the experience organized, efficient, and safe for the guests

• Implementation of park rules and guidelines

• Ensuring the enjoyment and customer satisfaction of guests

2. Spearhead needs for protection and facilities/grounds maintenance in their designated areas.

3. Execute internal educational initiatives for park rangers and facilitate research projects conducted inside the georeserve.

4. Participate and collaborate with other team members in creating environmental education activities and programs for nearby communities, partner schools and institutions.

5. Passion for the environment and outdoors is highly preferred and prioritized.

• Passionate about the environment, conservation, and learning
• Capable of leading groups of park rangers who come from nearby communities, including appropriate planning, organising, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communications and teaching skills
• Ability to speak in both Filipino and English
• Must be in a good physical condition to hike on a daily basis
• Must be able to stay inside the georeserve during work days (quarters provided)
• Experience in reforestation and/or hospitality work is a plus
