Job Description

Help strategize and execute the business expansion of the company through:

Business Intelligence

  • Knowing the ins and outs of the business services and products is crucial. As well as knowing everything about the competition. Must know how to properly gather data and conduct analysis on positioning, competitive advantage, possibilities, points of improvement, and other necessary fields.

Research & Strategy

  • Need to have strong and efficient research and strategic analysis skills. These are necessary in order to benchmark the competition and keep the company ahead of it.

Negotiation & persuasion skills

  • In order to persuade the prospects to do what needs to be done, you will need to win their hearts, minds, and trust. This includes being tactful and diplomatic at all times and of course, charming.

Project Management Skills

  • Has the ability to set goals, plan and manage projects, manage the risks involved, calculate budgets, cost, time, and teams working on ongoing projects.

Excellent communication skills

  • Has to be able to communicate, present, assert, and speak in a very concise manner to all the different stakeholders involved. He must also be able to cold call prospects with confidence in order to gain new clients.

Technology Skills

  • Must have high competency working with Microsoft Office, CRM, and data analytics software is a must for this job as well as the willingness to work with AI and Machine Learning.

Collaboration Skills

  • Must be able to work with multiple parties from inside and outside the company. Any good business developer should be able to build relationships, influence, manage conflicts, and navigate through office politics in order to get things done.

Human Behavior Intelligence

  • Must know how to lure prospects and convert them to clients through
    • Meticulously paying attention to their needs and wants both what they say and what they don't
    • Customizing an approach based on the personality and/or character of the client
    • Reading what sets the clients off and knowing how to deal with it.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Developing growth strategies and plans
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
  • Increasing client base
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  • Writing business proposals
  • Negotiating with stakeholders
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Following industry trends locally and internationally
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in Business Development, Economics or Finance, Marketing
  • High-level communication skills with good persuasion skills/techniques

  • Proven ability to negotiate

  • The ability to self-motivate and motivate a team
