Job Description
- Conducts Site inspections;
- Inspects technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly;
- Liaises with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager.
- Identifies and creates materials, equipment and labor costs
- Liaises and works jointly with the design team (consulting engineers) to implement refinements;
- Negotiates modifications with architects and consulting engineers;
- Deals skillfully with a diverse range of people including clients, architects, other engineering professionals, sub-contractors and members of the public;
- Ensures that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to
- Makes judgements and solve problems;
- Supervises construction;
- Deals with the logistics of supplies;
- Schedules work;
- Provides appropriate plans for construction;
- Monitors the provision of materials;
- Liaises with, and direct, the sub-contractors employed on the project;
- Ensures quality of workmanship;
- Finds solutions to overcome unforeseen construction difficulties;
- Schedules and adjusts each stage of the project to meet time and budget targets;
- Deals with any complaints from local people experiencing disruption due to building works.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Civil), and Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Engineering (Civil) as well.
- At least 2-year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Required skill(s): Material Estimates, QA
- Proactive, highly competent, detail-oriented and driven to achieve objectives.
- Team Player with positive work attitude
