Job Description
The Accounting Supervisor ensures accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reports, proper disbursements to merchants and other partners, and ensures compliance to governmental and organizations policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages and coordinates all interim and fiscal reporting activities of the Company including financial statements, variance analysis comparing projected vs. actual financial performance, and the development and monitoring of long and short-term financial plans.
- Prepares and consolidates all reports including e-commerce platform transactions, financial analyses, financial projections, and tax studies as required by management and other special purposes (i.e. bank loan, audit requirement, etc.).
- Prepares financial statements such as but not limited to month-end financials, schedules and journal entries; and reviews and approves tax returns and other legal requirements.
- Review bills on a constant bases and assess the various payment activities and methods; maintaining a day to day control over treasury transactions and authorization of bank payments
- Monitors and process settlement of all payment methods in the e-commerce platform
- Verifies, allocated, posts and reconciles accounts payable and receivable
- Ensures the company's banking operations; seeing to it that all funds are appropriately bank ensuring efficiency and returns
- Produce accurate monthly bank reconciliation
- Develops and maintains accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
- Discusses the financial performance of the Company during management meetings and discussions.
- Provides advice to management on the interpretation and integration of operating results and trends to support decision-making.
- Ensures adherence to the Group’s accounting and financial control policies, financial reporting standards, operations policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates with external auditors, monitors the implementation/progress of audit recommendations, and ensures that audited financial statements and other requirements are submitted on time.
- Handles BIR audits by preparing and submitting reportorial requirements, drafting letters and correspondences, attending meetings and conferences with examiners, coordinating with tax consultants, and providing regular updates to the Group Financial Controller and the Group Legal Counsel.
- Reviews and approves all agreements concerning financial obligations, such as contracts for materials, IT assets, services, and other actions requiring commitment of financial resources.
- Expects to perform special projects and requests from time to time as the management deems fit
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Candidate must possess Bachelor's / College Degree in Business Finance/Accounting. CPA is advantage
- Knowledge: At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field with excellent skills to manage and summarize large amounts of data
- Technical Competencies: With strong computers skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas).
- Soft Skills: Highly analytical, keen to details, system-driven and policy-oriented, good communication skills, comfort with technology, multitasking, and creativity, excellent time management, and prioritization skills
- Attitude: Ability to learn and adapt in a startup environment, hungry to learn, strong desire to know, drive to be a team player, has a positive and upbeat attitude
