Job Description

Role Purpose:

  • To provide support and assistance in activities and initiatives that result in recommendations to the Company’ investment planning and, budget and regulatory exercises.
  • Support the department in leading the annual budget exercise including preparations and consolidation of budget submissions and reports to the management for approval
  • To prepare reports and analysis on the consolidated financial performance of the company compared to Budget or Forecast and to highlight and present key trends that will impact management’s decisions.
  • Prepares and reviews financial models for investment requirements, determine returns and financing requirements, review opportunities for capital expenditures, new business developments and other Enterprise projects and initiatives, and to make recommendations aligned with the strategic objectives of the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial models as may be assigned from time to time
  • Review and challenge inputs and assumptions used
  • Analyze models and prepare recommendations
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Present the financial results to Management
  • Send reports to recipients (internal and external)
  • Assist in preparation of tariff and financial models with scenario building
  • Assist in determining financing options for the project/s
  • Determines returns – performs ADR/WACC computation
  • Provides regulatory support to East Zone and Non-East Zone subsidiaries, which includes tariff runs, scenario building.
  • Assist in reviews the operating subsidiaries’ LT Plan and their contribution to the portfolio.
  • Raises recommendation on rebalancing the portfolio, as needed.
  • Reviews impairment models and impact to Parent books

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS Finance, Business Admin, Economics, Accountancy, Financial Engineering, Math
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial planning / modelling
  • Licensed CPA is an advantage

The Group has other new projects in its portfolio including the Zamboanga City performance-based non-revenue water reduction project under Zamboanga Water Company, Inc. (“Zamboanga Water”) and the Tagum City bulk water supply project under Tagum Water Company, Inc. (“Tagum Water”), among others.
