Job Description

A. General

  • Accomplishment of customer aircraft maintenance checks; check, inspection, repair, overhaul, modification, and testing of safety, demonstration, emergency and loose equipment; removal/installation, repair, fabrication, and modification of cabin components; check, inspection, repair, overhaul, modification and refurbishment of all aircraft seats.


B. Specific

  • Accomplishes maintenance checks of cabin components and associated parts in accordance with company’s standard procedures, manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications to ensure its serviceability condition and attachment security for passenger’s comfort and safety.
  • Performs routine checks and works as specified in the aircraft check sheet/ work cards, and its corresponding corrective action or parts/unit replacement and modifications.
  • Accomplishes rectification of flight remarks, hold item list (HIL), and non-routine cards, consistent with the quality standards set by the company, customer aircraft, and manufacturer’s specification.
  • Performs maintenance checks and periodic checks on safety, demonstration, emergency and loose equipment required on the aircraft as per work cards/ checklist and replaces due time units in accordance with customer’s maintenance program, manufacturer’s specifications, and customer requirements to ensure their availability and safe operation.
  • Performs removal, repair, and installation of galleys, lavatories and its accessories, kickboards/ kickstrips, overhead stowage bins, floor panels, sidewalls panels, ceiling panels, and other cabin furnishings within the prescribed ground time.
  • Performs removal, repair, overhaul, and refurbishment of passenger and flight attendant seats in accordance with approved repair/overhaul manuals, manufacturer’s specification, and airworthiness directives.
  • Properly signs off work accomplishment in required company records and accomplishes other forms of paper works that may be needed in the performance of duties.
  • Executes all work assigned in an efficient and cost-effective manner in order to help maximize the utilization of the company’s resources of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
  • Obtains all necessary hand tools that will be used pursuant to the assigned routine and non-routine work in accordance with approved checklist.
  • Maintains and ensures the serviceability at all times of company issued tools/equipment and comply necessary preventive maintenance to assure maximum utilization.
  • Keeps abreast with all work procedures, company policies, standards and procedures, manufacturer’s specifications and standards, government regulations, and contract specifications as applicable on the component, equipment, and related accessories for compliance.
  • Maintains a clean and neat working area at all times and follows all company safety rules and regulations.
  • Performs related duties as may be assigned by Foreman.
  • Actively reports safety hazards and incidents in the tasks he/she performs.
  • Complies with the established safety rules / requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of any Aviation maintenance or engineering course or equivalent.
  • Valid and appropriate CAAP License - Aircraft Mechanic’s license with Airframe rating or Aircraft Mechanic’s Specialist License with Aircraft Safety and Floatation Devices rating, as applicable.
  • At least passed ATA Specification 104 Level 2AircrafStructural Repair or Engine Type Training Course or Aircraft Cabin Equipment Fundaments or Component Related basic training, as applicable.
  • Minimum of thirty (30) months experience in aircraft maintenance on light/commercial airplanes.
