Job Description

General responsibilities

  • Organize, budget, direct, plan, and control the delivery of quality management solution projects in coordination with other involved divisions/departments.
  • Based on available actual technical accident/incident and quality data, this position is responsible for initializing, performing, controlling, and finishing of initiated quality management related internal project(s).
  • Lead and support project(s) within Quality Management such as the implementation of the global management system in compliance to LHT requirement.
    • Integrated certification of AS 9110, ISO 14001:2004, BS OHSAS 18001:2007.

Specific tasks

  • Initialize projects
    • Define project goals and outline conditions such as:
      • Target groups, goals, resources, time frame, risks and effects, IQ MOVE integration, infrastructure, etc.
    • Produce project plan and apply funds for preliminary study/review to have order for the actual project required budget and its approval.
    • Establish project organization and define roles/tasks in order to present the dependencies, responsibilities, and authorizations, wherever applicable, to produce an organizational chart.
    • Clarify project infrastructure and create project directory for the availability of the project infrastructure at the start of the project.
    • Create communication concept.
      • Information is forwarded and find out:
        • To whom.
        • What media is to be used.
        • Where and how.
        • Who is responsible for organizing and recording the meeting.
    • Draw up risk management to guarantee realistic project planning.
      • Avoid or reduce project risks and potential risks.
      • Conduct where risks becomes applicable.
  • Perform internal projects
    • Hold kick-off meeting to start the signal to begin the actual project work.
    • Coordinate with the IQ MOVE, Lean organization, and IT department in case of expected process or organization changes for a timely entry of these changes to the system.
    • In coordination with project members, perform actual analysis and requirements.
      • Analyze the actual condition on the basis of available documentation and perform benchmarking.
    • Produce and coordinate concept with concerned groups such as, environment and aviation law-related projects and occupational safety-related and health issues.
    • Implement concept in accordance with the project plan.
    • Notify and train employees.
    • Ensure long-term stabilization of the project results (e.g., by means of handover to a process office or other agreed measures).
      • Safeguard permanent use, if applicable, support within the organization, further development/training and updatedness of system(s) used.
      • Also document outstanding open issues and ensure these are handled accordingly.
  • Control internal projects
    • Regularly update the project plan during the course of the project.
    • Manage the project team to perform and ensure project deliverables are within the allotted time frame and with the desired level of quality.
    • Implement project jour fixe at a fixed time to discuss the status report, problems, and other information.
    • Implement QA measures and risk management.
    • Implement project controlling such as:
      • Costs, expenditure to date, results achieved to date/project progress, additional expenses, and new estimates for overall expenditures.
    • Report project status at a certain project milestones or if an important decision is due to be made as applicable.
    • Implement control measures.
      • Obtain approval from the relevant offices for measures which requires an additional budget.
  • Finishing internal projects
    • Document lessons learned.
      • Evaluate reports, figures, feedback, and results for the project so that they can be used to develop know-how for future projects.
    • Evaluate project success if realized in quantitative and qualitative terms.
    • Conduct completion review for the project with the review board, if applicable.
      • Ask the review board to disburden the project management and the project team so that the project can be formally completed.
    • Complete the project upon completion of:
      • All tasks.
      • Commissioned solution.
        • Create a report.
    • Ensure that the concerned offices/person responsible for the process perform a post evaluation six to twelve months after the end of the project has been realized.
    • Maintain a high-level of expertise on the responsibilities and task covered.
    • Perform other related duties as may be directed by the Manager – Standardization & Projects and Vice President – Quality Management.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • BS Graduate preferably in Engineering and/or any technical course with several years of experience of airline, aviation, or other technical organization.
  • Good scholastic records.
  • Preferably qualified as Six-Sigma Green Belt or any equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • At least ten (10) years of experience in an Airline or Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) operations, and/or considerable experience/involvement in quality development related projects.
    • Preferably Senior Engineer, Senior Planner, or any supervisory position.
  • Knowledge in aviation requirement regulations.
  • Knowledge of MRO business processes as well as intimate knowledge of the system(s) used in its delivery of tasks.
  • Completed Regulatory and Recurrent Regulatory Trainings.

    • Preferably solutions to production processes.
  • Profound knowledge in presentation software and methods.
  • Excellent skill and method in project management.
  • Excellent skill in negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical conceptual skill, initiative, engagement and creativity.
  • Outstanding communication and social skills.
  • Able to work under time pressure with high degree of accuracy.
  • Committed to the goal of the organization.
