Job Description
A. GENERAL
- Performance of engineering services and technical evaluations, developments, administrations and enhancement of all aircraft, engine and component tools and equipment and test mock-ups.
- Performance of engineering services and technical evaluations involved in verification, test and calibration of M&TE.
B. SPECIFIC
- Conducts developmental, technical and economic studies on aircraft, engine and component tools and equipment.
- Determines, evaluates and plans the tool and equipment of the shops, line & base and aircraft overhaul for acquisition and/or equivalency as required by AD, EOC, SB and other publication for any maintenance checks, inspections and modifications.
- Provides necessary designs, specifications, drawings, technical consultation and supervision for tool and equipment installation, modification, alteration, repair and local manufacture of tools and equipment.
- Provides engineering assistance to shop mechanics in building test mock-up equipment especially if no technical data is available from components manufacturer manuals.
- Establishes, develops, administers, enhances and implements appropriate maintenance policies, procedures, programs and engineering standards in the operation, servicing, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of special tools, equipment and mock-ups for aircraft, engine and components.
- Establishes and monitor reliability and safety design standards for aircraft, engine and component tools & equipment.
- Validates test results, certifies conformance/acceptance and formulates utilization and maintenance program for local manufacture of tools and test equipment mock-ups based on approved technical data/specifications.
- Provides technical services in the maintenance of aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and related facilities used at aircraft overhaul.
- Evaluates disposal of tools and equipment.
- Coordinates with OEM for product support on initial and continuous operation, services, modifications and alterations on aircraft and component tools and equipment to increase the design levels of safety, reliability and utilization.
- Provides technical assistance regarding issues and concerns on calibration and measurement standards.
- Evaluates and recommends the required measurement standard necessary to perform verification, test and calibration of M&TE. Certifies the equivalency of available tools and test equipment, as necessary.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the superiors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering, degree or related course
- Knowledgeable in CADD
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
