Software Engineer | Sr. Ruby on Rails  

Likha-iT being one to freee K.K.’s mission of “Empowering small businesses to take center stage”, we are committed to develop and provide an “integrated management platform” that integrates, automates, and streamlines all back office operations.

Likha-iT is part of freee’s Global Engineering division that has just been launched at the beginning of 2022 and currently developing products and building up diverse and talented development teams.

This time, we are looking for software engineers who can develop robust and valuable web services and make our teams better together.

>What you’ll do:

• Develop one of our web services with modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with teams to make our services and teams better.
• Manage and lead a team of experienced software engineers (with diverse personalities who work together to achieve a common vision and goal)
• Mentors the junior and mid-level developers of the team
• Work collaboratively with other software engineers, UI/UX designer, and product manager to help see features through, from idea, planning to development and release
• Participates on code reviews and gives feedback and suggestions
• Contributes in improving coding methodologies, techniques, and best practices
• Take initiative in organizational activities.

>What we seek:

• Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Highly motivated and passionate software engineer with 5+ years of practical development as a software engineer.
• Those who can select technologies and discuss optimal technologies after catching up with new technologies.
• Can confidently communicate solutions and technical arguments to stakeholders and product teams.
• With strong leadership skills or with people management experience
• Ability to understand products, business, and customer’s needs.
• Experience covering front-end, back-end, and infrastructure.
• Experience to contribute organizational activities including evaluation, hiring, and hosting tech events.

> Preferred Qualifications:

• Work experience in Japanese environment.
• Experience in designing, developing, and operating services from scratch.
• Those who have development experience with Ruby on Rails.

• Web server-side: Ruby on Rails, Go, Node.js
• Web front-end: React, Redux, Babel, Webpack, Flowtype, vite.js, react-hooks
• Database: MySQL, Redis
• Infrastructure: AWS （ELB, EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, ElastiCache, Redshift, …), Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, CircleCI, Fluentd, Ansible, HashiCorp Tools, Elasticsearch ＋ Kibana, Google BigQuery, Embulk

Terms & Conditions:
