Job Description
General Summary
- Develops web applications in an education setting
- Helps in the team’s overall effort in the maintenance and operation of educational technology tools for a smooth user experience
Major Duties
- Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
- Serves as the highest level of problem escalation for teaching and learning tools, and in-house developed applications
- Design client-side and server-side architecture
- Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
- Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
- Write effective APIs
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
- Create security and data protection settings
- Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
- Write technical documentation
- Work on a product roadmap to continuously improve software
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar disciplines
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing, VCS, and DevOps
- Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS)
- Knowledge of back-end languages and frameworks (PHP(Angular/Symfony), Python), REST API
- Knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Great attention to detail, organizational skills, and an analytical mind
