Job Description
- Proofread and copyedit English documents to correct content and style errors
- Verify validity of content by fact-checking and using standard reference sources
- Comply with strict publication standards, clients’ specifications, deadlines, and other SOPs
- Ensure adherence to different style guides, including the company's in-house style guide
- Evaluate translation quality of documents for editing, including their accuracy, coherence, grammar, and punctuation
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Background includes editing for academic or other professional purposes
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of work without much supervision
- Stable Internet connection and a reliable PC or laptop setup allowing you to work from home without issues
- Access to and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- People with at least three years of professional editing experience preferred
