Job Description

  • Recruitment and Staffing:
    • Develops job descriptions and requirements for all positions, preparing job adverts and contracts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing, selecting candidates and informing unsuccessful applicants
    • Develops and implements procedures and policies on staff recruitment
  • Outsourced staff coordinator
    • Manages network of teachers
    • Files availability and scheduling
    • Staff Training, Development, and Performance:
    • Writes staff handbooks, organizing and conducting staff orientations and sometimes training sessions (including induction of new staff), working with other managers to plan future staff needs
    • Provides basic counseling to staff who have performance-related obstacles
  • Staff Attendance, Compensation, and Benefits:
    • Maintains employee records, monitoring scheduled absences such as holidays or travel, monitoring staff daily attendance and informing affected staff of unexpected absences from work to ensure the staff absence has been adequately covered off to ensure continuity of services
    • Manages payroll and ensuring that employees are paid correctly according to their contractual entitlements, advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits, undertaking regular salary reviews
    • Negotiates with staff and their representatives (for example, trade union officials) on issues relating to pay and conditions
  • Employee Relations and Counseling:
    • Liaises with range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance, and health and safety
    • Develops and implements policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
    • Interprets and advises on employment law
    • Develops HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirement
    • Responds to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, dealing with complaints and discipline procedures, plans and organizes company and employee events or activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Studies, Psychology, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years working experience in HR or any related field.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of labor code.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrates excellent people management and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to deal with different types of people at all levels.
  • Needs to be friendly, empathetic and open-minded, with high standards of personal and professional integrity, fairness and an unbiased approach.
  • Assertive, dynamic, attentive to details, organized and a fast learner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
