Job Description
- Summary
- the main purpose of this position is to assist in the areas of general accounting and financial reporting, perform reconciliations and book keeping functions to ensure financial and management reports are accurately stated and presented in a timely manner
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare reconciliation for assigned accounts and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items
- Validate proper accounting treatment of assigned accounts and compliance with the financial reporting and accounting standards, tax requirements and internal control
- Prepare schedules on sales commission and update ledger on a timely basis
- Complete schedules required for internal and external audit purposes
- Prepare intercompany and inter-project reconciliations and the applicable statement of accounts and/or request for payments for settlement
- Ensure prepared journal vouchers and financial report documentations are audit ready
- Observe and comply with existing company codes, policies, agreements, rules, and regulations.
- Elevate to management any noted deviations from sound internal control
- Provide other accounting and administrative support and assistance as necessary
- Perform additional duties as directed by immediate manager or Department Head.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Commerce Major in Accountancy or BS Accountancy
- At least 2 years combined work experience in general accounting, payables and receivables function
- Real estate industry experience preferred
- roficient in MS Excel and MS Word
