Head of Express  

This position of an Head of Express is a great opportunity to build a career with fast growing company by making a big impact. This role is critical for the successful execution of the Express business mission through development and deployment of the company’s fulfilment and transport operations. Your job is to ensure smooth planning and execution of the daily Fulfilment Centre and Transportation activities including inbound, outbound, inventory and delivery. The fulfilment team works hard to serve customers and supporting hundreds of deliveries every day. This role requires a team player with strong leadership skills. Someone who is driven to get the job done, brings a positive attitude, meets company’s KPIs and strives to provide exceptional customer service. Strong people and distribution process management skills are essential. This is an intense startup role which overlaps with engineering, product teams as well as the various 3PLs we work with. This role will have responsibility for the growth of the Express driver supply through partnership with 3PLs to driver cost per delivery down, and ensure on-time delivery.

Reporting to the Indonesia Country Head, you will be responsible for:

• Take ownership on all Express fulfilment centers, Warehouse Operations and driver operations in Indonesia.
• Work with 3PL to maintain receiving, inventory and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures across the 3PL partners.
• Ensure 3PL partners complies with best practices about warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Attract and maintain driver supply by partnering with 3rd party 3PLs and in some countries our own fleet.
• Analyze supply and demand in order to achieve 90+% utilization at all times to minimize costs.
• Measure and be accountable for reporting on the progress of business KPIs and those that are linked to the 3PLs to drive operational performance.
• Develop & Optimize Processes. Scale processes to allow the business to efficiently operate and grow.
• Analysis of 3PL partner, driver, and customer metrics to properly allocate supply, guide pricing across partners, and ensure high-quality experiences on the Express delivery platform.
• Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of expanding Express to new areas, develop and execute against expansion plans.
• Decide which projects the team should prioritize, and set an aggressive timeline to reach those goals.
• Proactively search for new features which could improve a seamless driver, customer, and Marketplace Supplier experience
• Ensure 3PL Driver Partners follow Policies and Procedures to ensure customer satisfaction, minimizing issues, ensuring health and safety, and fastest possible delivery times.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Degree in Operations management or Logistics preferred.
• 5+ years relevant experience in consulting, banking, engineering, or operations management. Experience within a fast-moving transport business (or transport function within e-commerce) preferable.
• Previous experience with logistics or warehouse preferred.
• Good communication skills and people management capability
• Detail-oriented and organisation skills
• Willingness to work shift hours
