Job Description
- Prepare and file of monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns, withholding taxes, value added taxes and fringe benefit taxes
- Ensure proper update of companies registration in BIR and liaise with LGU’s and other government agencies in securing business permits and licenses
- Performs tax compliance review and ensure all tax issues and exposures are mitigated
- Responsible in leading the team for the tax compliance reporting and documentation to ensure compliance with the local and international laws
- Performs analytical review on the global and country rovac (return on value added cost) impact to the local tax in relation to intercompany transfer pricing align to the interco advance agreement for to establish their arm’s length transaction.
- Acts as tax consultant to the entire in-country business units transactions particularly on tax and/or legal implication on local revenue and related-party transactions.
- Recommend tax minimization scheme that safeguard the interest of the company and its employees.
- Works with the outside external tax professional during the due diligence review for offshore services
- Represents the company during the tax investigation, provide schedules and supporting documents
- Process the application of computerized accounting systems accreditation, implement new updates, and assist with the quarterly and annual provision process
- Ensure that all accounts with tax implications are reconciled i.e. VAT, withholding taxes (Expanded, Final, VAT and Compensation), deferred taxes and prepaid taxes.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Accounting required; CPA or CTT preferably 2 years to 3 years experience in handling domestic corporate tax compliance
- Skills required: extensive use of Microsoft Excel & Word and experience
- Must have good communication and writing skills to interact with various departments and with outside reporting bodies
