Job Description
- Manage the development, and deployment of new or revised applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise
- Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
- Required to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues for the applications in-place at RoundPoint and respond in a timely manner
- Maintain proper documentation for developed software environments for supportability
- Collaborate with other developers, analysts, designers, and system/product owners in the testing of new software programs and applications
- Create technical release notes detailing any changes and enhancements to an application
- Provide technical insight to management, project managers, and other programmers working on development project teams
- Work with network administrators, data team members, and software support engineers to design solutions, resolve production issues, and assist with deployments
- Work efficiently under minimal supervision
- Mentor junior team members
- Demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgement consistent with corporate values, and have a proven track record of managing projects and meeting deadlines
- Regularly prepare updates on projects in process to keep stakeholders and management informed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related degree. Equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirement
- Experience developing and supporting WinForms applications and Windows services
- Familiar with JavaScript libraries like jQuery
- Working knowledge of OOP concepts
- Working with a version control system
- Knowledge of development best practices and methodologies
- Ability to act as a liaison between the business and all technical staff
- Ability to address all levels of personnel right up to the C suite
- Ability to break down something very technical and explain it in a non-technical way
- Familiarity with any of the following is a plus:Entity Framework, Telerik Controls, Team Foundation, LINQ
