Job Description
- Work with the product team to understand the project requirements
- Define and develop a secure and performant RESTful API service
- Create automated tests with the goal of 100% code coverage
- Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
- Architect and integrate appropriate back-end datastores for caching and data storage
- Thoroughly document the API and system
Minimum Qualifications
- Deep experience in object-oriented PHP programming and MVC frameworks such as Laravel, Yii, Symfony or CodeIgniter
- Understanding of best practices for creating and securing RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Understanding of common exploits such as SQL injection, XSS, etc.
- Knowledge of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Experience with multiple databases, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Mongo and Redis
- Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration servers such as Jenkins, Travis, and CircleCI
