Job Description
- Reviews, tracks, and maintains all employee related files and records.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department heads to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute people programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Assist in implementing employee engagement programs.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience in the Human Resources field, preferably in a startup background.
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Strong collaborator that is capable of helping building strong working relationships across organizational boundaries
- Hands-on, results-driven, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment, while having fun!
- Performance-driven professional with outstanding communication skills
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and help the team get work done as we are small, and growing team.
