Kalibrr is looking for a proven financial leader to join our Philippines country operations team. This position will be a critical role within the finance/accounting division reporting directly to the Country Head and will be responsible for directing the country’s growth through strategic financial analysis to maximise profitability and return on investments. This role is for self-starters and entrepreneurial-minded individuals who believe execution is everything. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounting operations of Kalibrr Philippines, to include the production of internal and external financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure accurate and timely processing of payables, cash control and general ledger postings
  • Manage the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, variances and reports required by key stakeholders
  • Oversee the financial close process (monthly, quarterly and annual) including consolidation and reporting and direct management of the Accounting team
  • Establish and maintain effective and efficient internal controls over accounting and financial reporting functions including documentation of accounting and control policies
  • Handle AP, AR, accounting, and other day-to-day operational finance work
  • Drive maximum return on resources by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems in accordance with Philippines GAAP
  • Advise senior management and subordinates on short-term and long-term financial objectives, and identify and implement opportunities to improve financial business processes and utilize tools to improve efficiencies
  • Lead the treasury management function including cash planning/forecasting, liquidity management, and debt compliance
  • Ensure monthly tax management and reporting in accordance with prevailing tax law, regulations and timelines
  • Support external audit activity as required and manage the relationship with the independent auditor
  • Oversee all contract drafting and negotiations including client contracts, employment agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, and retain a world-class organization of accounting and operational finance professionals

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting management experience, including previous controller experience or experience from a Big-4 accounting firm, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; Master's degree preferred
  • Expert-level knowledge of Philippines GAAP, technical accounting principles, practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • CPA designation preferred; Big 4 auditing experience preferred
  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills
  • Experience working with private, VC-funded technology startups through various stages of growth and scale preferred
  • Articulate and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Very high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to hit the ground running a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter who can thrive in a hyper-growth startup environment
