Bank Accounting Department Head | Ayala Cebu  

This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the Accounting Department including branch accounting. Ensures that all data are recorded, reported properly, accurately and on time. Responsible for ensuring that all departments and branches are informed of their respective productivity and profitability analysis data.

General Duties:

• Formulates Accounting policies and procedures for approval and implementation.
• Oversees the functions of the all Accounting Center Staff as well as Branch Accountants and Bookkeepers.
• Prepares MIS Reports for the Executive Committee and the Board and such other reports that may be required by senior management. Sits in ALCO meetings.
• Ensures that all disbursements CAPEX and OPEX are appropriate, properly approved, and within the budget. Likewise ensures that these are properly and completely documented.
• Performs financial and profitability analyses and provides this information to all branches for evaluating actual expenses and earnings versus targets.
• Ensures that recording of loan amortizations are updated and accurate. Provides timely and speedy reports upon request of Lending units as well as of the Legal and Collection Department.
• Prepares payroll for the supervisors and below supervisory employees.
• Performs other tasks as maybe assigned by superiors.
• Other responsibilities and tasks may be assigned from time to time depending on business needs.

• Certified Public Accountant
• Above average oral and written English
• Minimum of 5 years combined experience in audit and general and financial accounting
• Strategic, efficient and effective in leading the accounting team
• Good in financial analysis and financial projections
• Desirable people skills, a team player, resourceful
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
