Bank Manager | Cebu  

Position Summary:

The Branch Head is responsible for selling the products and services available in the assigned branch as well as for the supervision of the overall operations of the branch and other regulatory agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Markets the Bank’s products and services that are available in the assigned branch
• Participates in the negotiation of loans for potential clients if necessary.
• Ensures that deposit targets are consistently met.
• Implements in the assigned branch the standard internal control policies of the Bank.
• Ensures that the Branch including its records of clients and documents are secured at all times and ensures compliance with established security measures.
• Approves over the counter transactions.
• Signs checks for bank’s disbursements within the authorized limit.
• Implements cost-reduction measures and is responsible for the management of costs within the branch’s allocated expense budget.
• Disseminates correct and complete information, policies and/or new products and services that are being communicated by the Head Office to the Branches and ensures clear understanding on the part of the branch staff
• Administratively responsible for the implementation of policies, rules and regulations of the Bank at the branch level with corresponding appropriate action.
• Conducts objective performance appraisals of staff on a periodic basis and as advised by the Human Resources Department.
• Provides timely and accurate reports to Head Office on the results of operations.
• Evaluates training needs of branch staff and recommends appropriate training programs to Human Resources
• Department based on identified needs. Actively Involves self in the training and development of the staff at the branch level.
• Coordinates closely with Account Officer and helps track loan performances against targets
• Maintains consistent good housekeeping of the branch.
• Attends regular management meetings or as may be called by the Head Office.
• Exercises good leadership and ensures harmonious working relationships among branch personnel.
• Ultimately provides good and effective leadership in the Branch.
• Leads the Credit Committee of the Branch.
• Performs other responsibilities and tasks may be assigned from time to time depending on business needs

Qualifications:
Minimum Educational Requirements:

• Graduate of any 4-year Business course ; graduate studies a great advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience in the Banking Operations in a managerial capacity (if coming from other banks)
• At least 5 years of experience in the banking operations in a supervisory capacity (if coming from within)
• Proficient in written and oral English
• Computer literate
• High sense of integrity and customer service attitude
• Strong people and leadership skills
• Team player, organized and systematic
• Strategic and self-driven, results-focused
