Job Description
- Regularly monitors cash position of the company & identifies investible funds to ensure maximum interest gains & ensure that all forex payables are covered by forward contract. Authorizes check voucher and checks prepared prior to approval by GM.
- Review and approve monthly bank reconciliation, interco reconciliation, schedule of expenses such as depreciation, aging of A/R and others. Also, prepares confidential payroll and review of non confidential payroll.
- Lead the Physical Inventory count team and ensure that the inventory instructions are carried out and discrepancies are accounted for. Likewise lead the asset tagging and count; coordinates with worldwide appointed external Auditors, banks, government agencies like BIR, SEC & internal auditors, and corporate lawyers; reviews/approves monthly remittances of SSS, VAT and Withholding Taxes & prepares Quarterly Income Tax; review/approves Invoices issued to customer.
- Reviews & approve entries made in the General Ledger System against supporting documents; ensure that receivables are collected on time; monitors and control cost and expenses, identifies areas where cost reduction can be implemented & update/inform department heads on their status of their budgeted expense for cost control purposes.
- Prepares and/or review costing sheets for local production, imported raw materials and finished goods and its accompanying journal entries; prepare PAR and its accompanying schedule/computations.
- Assists the GM in the preparation of annual budget & quarterly forecast, prepare the appendices & schedules needed in the presentation of such at the GCS A/P office; formulates annual departmental budget and submit to GM for approval; prepares periodic or comparative analysis & review of financial performance against budget/forecast; and ensure departments KPI are being updated and met.
- Prepares monthly financial statements both for Statutory and group wide use together with the necessary reports & schedules; ensures that Contracts, Procedures, Guidelines, Forms, CFAP and other Quality Records are updated and filed.
Minimum Qualifications
- College graduate in Accountancy, preferably CPA.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the field of Accounting.
- Proficient in oral and written communication .
- Computer literate.
- Accounting procedures (financial statement preparation, budget, cost and cash disbursements).
- With knowledge in Government Laws.
