QA Manager  

As a QA Manager at JoyRide, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the overall quality of our software products. Reporting directly to the VP for Technology, you will manage a team of skilled test engineers and automation engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement in quality assurance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to define and endorse best practices for testing and quality control, while ensuring that the company’s quality objectives are met. Our ideal candidate is a proactive and experienced QA with a passion for delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced, agile environment. You should be comfortable leading both manual and automated testing efforts, developing scalable testing frameworks, and mentoring QA teams to meet business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of test engineers and automation engineers to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Establish, enforce, and continuously improve quality assurance processes, practices, and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and design, to align on product quality objectives and deliverables.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, including manual and automated testing, for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing time-to-market while maintaining quality standards.
• Proactively identify, track, and resolve quality issues during the software development lifecycle.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning within the QA team.
• Define and monitor key quality metrics, including defect rates, test coverage, and performance benchmarks.
• Oversee the implementation of test automation frameworks to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain QA talent, ensuring that team members are empowered and equipped to succeed
• Work closely with product and engineering leadership to prioritize testing efforts, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a QA leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing QA teams and delivering high-quality software products.
• Extensive experience with test automation tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and QA best practices especially in Mobile development.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to think strategically about quality improvement.
• Experience with performance testing, security testing, and testing in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Ability to balance the need for thorough testing with the demands of fast-paced release cycles.

• Certifications in quality assurance, agile methodologies, or test automation (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, Agile, or Scrum certifications).
