Job Description
- Ensure the accurate and timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, including payroll and group taxes, insurances, inventory clearing accounts, overseas suppliers’ accounts and other accrual and pre-paid accounts, with supporting schedules and documentation.
- Maintain Fixed Assets schedule including additions, disposals and depreciation and ensure adequate system of tracking and control is in place.

- Preparation and input of monthly GL Journals including accruals and prepayments:
· FBT Accrual (Ensure all entries have supporting documentation or commentary.)
· Prepaid Insurance (Ensure all entries have supporting documentation or commentary.)
· Work cover Premium (Ensure all entries have supporting documentation or commentary.)
· Audit Fees (Ensure all entries have supporting documentation or commentary.)
· Accrual for Utility and Rent (Ensure all entries have supporting documentation or commentary.)
· Accrual for Shrink (Stocktake variance accrual) (Ensure all entries have supporting documentation or commentary.)
· Bad debt (Ensure all entries have supporting documentation or commentary.)
- Preparation of daily and month end bank reconciliations.
- Performs activities related to the close process ensuring accurate journal entries and accounting classifications, and compilation of data for preparation of regularly scheduled accounting reports.
- Assist Accounts payable under the direction of AP Supervisor.
- Provide support to the parent company internal audit process.
- Preparation of SOX compliance package (Folder) on a monthly basis and quarterly - QBR Analytics and Corporate Reconciliations
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation and balancing of all intercompany accounts (I/C profit, AR & AP) and settling of net balances through Netting.
- Ensures team's adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Finance, Business or equivalent is essential; CA/CPA qualified
- Experience: At least 5 years experience in Finance with a thorough knowledge in the areas of accounting, reporting and statutory compliance.
- Experience in adhering to Australian / International Reporting standards and statutory requirements; exposure to Sarbanes Oxley requirements and controls.
- Demonstrable success in working in a large multinational corporation is essential with a strong personal desire for success and career progression
- Solid computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, audit and taxation.
- Assertive, ability to establish credibility and influence across the organisation.
- Ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands on approach.
