Job Description
Overview:
The position is responsible for development and implementation of FWD business system that will support the Group Insurance Project.
The role’s primary focus will be front end systems supporting the Group Insurance’s BAU processes.
The analyst/programmer conducts systems analysis, technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance support.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist in system analysis and technical design.
- Prepare program specifications.
- Align the systems with FWD’s business requirements.
- Ensures the following to support business needs:
- Systems development and enhancements.
- Systems implementation.
- Production support.
- Submissions of “Business as Usual” (BAU) Requests.
- Assistance to batch operations.
- Systems troubleshooting.
- Determine and execute appropriate actions to restore service.
- Verify the resolution is successful.
- Submissions of “Business as Usual” (BAU) Requests.
- Assists in testing and production environment setup.
- Participates in system testing (SIT) and supports user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provides system solutions where applicable.
- Prepares user procedure manual.
- Gathers user technical requirements.
- Prepares management reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of any 4-year IT course with 3 years related working experience, with at least 2 years in Analyst Programmer position.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in Java (client server and web app).
- Experience in VB .NET, JSB, ESB, Web Services, and MQ is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in Life insurance system development and implementation is also an advantage.
- Preferably with experience in SAS business intelligence.
- Experience in mobile system implementation, Business Process Management (BPM), and Business Rule Engine (BRE) deployment would be an added advantage
- Primary skills required :
- Mobile application development
- Knowledge in RHOMOBILE / RUBY codes.
- JAVA J2EE development (Client server, web application, web services)
- APIs (ReST, SOAP)
- Spring Framework, AngularJS; Hibernate Framework; JQUERY
- Mobile application development
- With good analytical and problem solving skills.
