Market Job Description

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and trace data related issues throughout the architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, retain, and apply good interpersonal skills, and perform effectively under time pressure are critical skills required for this position.
  • Must be strong in analyzing how MSSQL resources are being used during SQL executions.
  • Ability to write and maintain high quality documentation.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with business partners.
  • Correct deadlocks and be able to create extents.
  • Successfully restore and recover databases.
  • Successful execute translation of key values against destination databases.
  • Utilize Truncate and Delete functions when appropriate.


Market Skills and Certifications

  • 8+ years of experience in IT and as an MSSQL Database Administrator in the Database Installation, Administration, and Production Support.
  • Proficient in database administration, production support, installation, configuration, upgrades, patches, performance tuning, backup and recovery, cloning, space management, partitioning, database security, troubleshooting, database design.
  • Experience with multiple versions of SQL Server; Azure; disaster recovery; mirroring and replication; “Always On” technology; log shipping. Exposure to supporting SQL clustered servers and T-SQL.
  • The candidate will primarily support Development and Testing database environments (and will have access to production), complete requests within defined SLAs, be a team player, good communicator, be able to work independently, be able to resolve technical issues.
