Job Description
The Sound Engineer is responsible for ensuring for assembling, operating and maintaining the technical equipment used to record, amplify, enhance, mix or reproduce sound:
- To ensure premix files or mixed files are received accordingly
- To feedback on dubbing aspects needed to improve mixing and output standards
- To do full-mix on dubbed programs assigned and seen to completion
- Any other tasks which are deemed important in ensuring required standards for dubbing programs
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of post audio mixing
- Experience with Mac environment, ProTools audio software and hardware, including peripheral equipment as compressors, microphones, AD Converters
- Understanding of audio and session formats and specifications (.wav, .mp3, .ptf,.omf,…)
- General knowledge of studio recording techniques
- Ability to identify and solve technical problems with equipment when possible
- Excellent organization and time management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Able to explain to PMs about audio issues
- Must be able to deal with extremely high time pressure
- Able to work under pressure and minimal supervision
