Job Description
The Script Editor will edit both Tagalog and English dubbing scripts. They are responsible for ensuring that dubbing scripts translated and/or pre-synced by freelance scriptwriters are of high standard, dubbing-ready, and consistent with client requirements.
- Checks linguistic accuracy of dubbing scripts
- Checks if scriptwriters have synchronized lines with characters’ mouth flaps (when on-cam) and with the audio guide (when off-cam)
- Makes sure that characters use appropriate language
- Ensures consistency and continuity within the storyline and episodes
- Coordinates and communicates all script-related matters to those concerned
- Ensures that scripts are prepared in the appropriate format
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have at least two (2) years or more related work experience
- Experience in the local dubbing industry as scriptwriter preferred
- Exceptional Tagalog and English writing skills
- Excellent critical and creative thinking skills
- Must be familiar with different media genres and the kinds of languages they employ
- Able to work under pressure and minimal supervision
