About The Accounting Assistant
InvestEd wishes to recruit a qualified Accounting Assistant to assist the Finance Department of the Company. The candidate will be responsible for creating and generating financial records for the company, specifically: reconciling of account statements; providing and organizing cash receipts, vouchers, and petty cash; and performing other clerical and administrative finance activities as needed by the company.
Scope of the Work:
- Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management
- Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary
- Negotiate with suppliers and manage payment to suppliers in a timely manner
- Issue receipts, vouchers, and invoices to clients
- Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
- Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
- Conduct a monthly reconciliation of company bank accounts
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Provide financial information to the general accountant of the Company and external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Support the Company’s general accountant to calculate variancesfrom the budget and report significant issues to management
- Assist the Company’s general accountant in BIR and SEC compliance, etc.
- Provide support in ensuring timely release of payroll
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
- Other duties as required by the company
Minimum Qualifications
Degree of Expertise and Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree related to accounting or business administration or equivalent business experience. We will allow degrees outside these fields as long as there is relevant work experience in administration or loan underwriting
- Has awareness of generally accepted accounting practices
- Must have good Microsoft excel skills
- Must be analytical and have good problem-solving skills
- High personal motivation and adaptability with strong attention to detail
- Must have good personal auditing skills, meaning that the candidate is able to improve him/herself continuously
- Complaining is not in our culture. Candidate must not have a habit of blaming quality and timeliness of output on external circumstances

Reporting, Supervision and Performance Evaluation
- The Bookkeeper will report to and work directly under the CPA.
- Performance will be evaluated by the COO and CPA.
- The entire job will be based on quantitative Key Performance Indicators (KPI) such as:
- Completeness and accurateness of financial records
- % of data collected and recorded
