Job Description
- Design and develop high-volume, low latency web applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code
- Prepare and produce releases of software components
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
- Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools
- Maintain the integrity and quality of the Java web applications that are developed
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of working experience as a Java developer
- Object oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
- Excellent knowledge of Relational databases and SQL
- Experience in Spring and Struts Framework
- Experience in developing high performance multi-threaded applications
- Profound insight of Java internals (multi-threading, sockets and concurrency)
- Experience in developing financial/payment/banking/POS related software is a plus
- Experience with stream processing (ie. STORM), in memory Data Store (e.g. REDIS) is a big plus
- Experience with big data (i.e. Hadaoop v2, MapReduce) is a plus
- Experience with Agile development process methodology is a plus
- Knowledge in creating UML documents is a plus
- Able to work under pressure
- Good emotional intelligence
- Mandarin language proficiency is a MUST (Speaking, Reading, Writing, Typing)
