Job Description
- Supervises all accounting personnel assigned in the areas of payroll, payable, cost accounting, credit and collection and general accounting in the performance of tasks within the set time frame such as
- preparation of a full set of book for financial reports and income tax returns
- review and consolidation of the company's financial plan
- disbursement within the authorized amount
- timely and accurate billings based on contracts
- accounting transactions properly documented, authorized and accounted
- preparation of department's budget
- Ensures proper compliance with the latest government rules and regulations regarding payment of taxes, duties and required reports
- Coordinates with the external auditor regarding fiscal year audit and ensures that:
- accounting schedules/ documents needed are available when required
- proper replies are made to all audit observations
- audited financial statements are available to all users
- Reviews and approves all accounting transactions and proper reflection of the same in the book of accounts
- Takes charge of the preparation and timely submission of financial statements, budgets, and reports required by any department or by the management
- Sets up, evaluates and reviews all accounting / financial policies and internal accounting control system
- Represent the company in meetings, fora and other functions initiated by the government and associations where the company is involved or concerned
- Performs other accounting related tasks that me required to be able to carry out his / her functions properly
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Accounting, preferably a Certified Public Accountant
- Must have a working knowledge on all aspects of accounting gathered from at least five (5) years of work experience, two (2) years of which is in a supervisory capacity
- Must have excellent communication skills both in oral and written English and Filipino
- Must have integrity, sense of maturity and ability to relate effectively to different types of people in the organization
- Capable of teaching and training people
- Must possess a pleasant personality and of good moral character
