Job Description

The Sales and Community Manager is tasked to execute the comprehensive sales strategy.

Reporting directly to the founders, the Sales and Marketing Manager will execute all aspects of the plan, including research and identification of prospected clients; cultivation and relationship management for the community and defining performance indicators. The Sales and Marketing Manager will primarily be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategy, and providing direction to Founders and internal team on closing actual deals.

This role will require a highly skilled sales manager preferably with a real estate or hotel related sales background. Hospitality experience is a must.

The three primary areas of sales are:

  1. Individual & team co-working memberships
  2. Corporate memberships
  3. Fostering and engaging environment for the community

Sales and Marketing Duties:

  • Execute sales strategy.
  • In depth understanding and analysis of co-working and programming industry, regulation, consumer trends and competition. May require market research.
  • Oversee lead generation for sales team through events, partnerships, advertising, media, etc.
  • Set clear KPIs for marketing activity including transaction and revenue growth goals
  • Maintain and direct training & development of the other staff in basic sales techniques.
  • Establish and maintain an active referral system, including coming up with new ways to incentivize existing members and partners.
  • Develop and retain corporate client relationships through the sales team on a monthly basis.
  • Create and implement online sales strategy, depending on our capacity, demographic, and needs.
  • Specifically reach out to diverse communities to encourage and close membership options curated for those communities.
  • Provide regular status reports to Founders. Alert early on potential issues with budget forecasts
  • Working closely with the marketing team

Management Duties

  • Lead all Sales Strategy meetings that will include weekly sales targets
  • Manage sales and marketing budget including digital and media costs
  • Directly responsible for managing all membership and events sales.
  • This position has no staff under it right now, but if you’re successful in increasing revenue then you’ll be provided budget to hire additional team.

Minimum Qualifications

The expertise you should have:

  • Experienced with an excellent performance in sales - those with real estate or hospitality industry sales experience are preferred
  • Ideally with Business or Hospitality or related degree.
  • Be self-motivated and have strong sales skills that include the ability to find and close deals.
  • Should possess good organizational and management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of all software programs that are utilized by Impact Hub (preferred if you have experience working with a CRM in the past to manage sales lead and can help implement a system here).
  • Develop sales reports and affect positive change in weak performance areas.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and within a small dynamic team
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Ability to manage a complex workload and work to tight deadlines
  • Must be highly collaborative, and an interest in entrepreneurship is a definite plus
