Accounting Specialist  

● Aids in proper payroll income and deductions: compute, prepare and reconcile where appropriate all cash compensation, benefits, allowances and other advances and payments including 13th month pay..

● Provides support to the payroll staff

● Execute self-assessment in accordance with business controls requirements

● Aids in delegation of tasks for payroll staff ensuring accuracy of transactions, even workload distribution, training on processes and tools such as online banking tools, spreadsheets and any other tools that may be used for their role.

● Participate in payroll year-end activities ( e.g. tax- related reports)

● Initiate process improvements in an accurate and timely manner

● Assist in addressing payroll-related inquiries

● Initiate documentation update

● Review and be up to date with any government changes which affect compensation and benefits

● Generate payroll and tax reports quarterly and yearly

● Establish tracking systems for trends such as cost, savings. VAT, and other items as necessary

● Problem solving and reconciliation of accounts

● May be assigned to do other tasks related to his/her role

● Must be a graduate of Management Accounting, Financial Accounting or Accounting

● CPA is not a requirement, but is an advantage

● At least 2 years experience working on payroll, compensation and benefits, taxes and financial reports etc.

● Must be able to communicate well
