Job Description
- Monitors closely frontline manufacturing product/process to ensure strict enforcement and implementation of set specifications to minimize lot rejection and defects due to non-compliance.
- Reviews manufacturing specifications and initiates modifications and changes to achieve set quality, yield and turnaround time at optimum cost.
- Implements technical manufacturing process that will cater to a particular customer needs and specifications to ensure that finished products meet the prescribed standards.
- Conducts initial failure analysis and product/process trouble shootings. Initiates and recommends corrective action on the basis of technical analysis to maintain the specified quality levels, yield and turn time.
- Suggests possible cost reduction programs, methods and productivity improvement projects to production and other support groups.
- Discusses with production and related support groups material, environmental and utilities requirement needed in the production line to improve quality of output, yield and turn time.
- Designs programs to narrow down process variables using scientific systems, method or techniques.
- Oversees and monitors processing of lots for engineering evaluation, qualification or experiment during assigned shift.
- Generates reports on various activities including evaluation of new or improve processes for new products/devices.
- Evaluates problems that arises during production run to zero-in on causes of defects on lots. Initiates and/or recommends action needed to eliminate such.
- Ensures that the SPC control charts are properly used and maintained in the area of assignment.
- Owns regular and timely update of Effective Process FMEA.
- Complies with the proper operating procedures of safety and health standards/regulations.
- Supports & implements environmental management system with respect to the job.
- Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time by superior.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), or equivalent.
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the Semiconductor Industry is required for this position.
