Teradata Admin  

A Teradata Admin in D& I will be expected to Maintain Teradata DWH Cluster in Globe.

TD Admin is expected to work with various Team such as Development, Production Teams , Testing, Architect to assist them for any issues regarding TD Cluster

Key responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and support Teradata architectural environment;
• Determine database needs for the projects;
• Create Teradata objects like Databases, Users, Profiles, Roles, Tables, etc.
• Modifying Databases, Users, Roles Profiles,
• Design and manage troubleshooting/exceptional procedures such as handling hot AMPs, crash dumps, slowdowns, connectivity issues, etc. Plan, design and implement the Hardware and Software upgrade strategy for the Teradata database;
• Enhance the process to ensure the quality and integrity of the data;
• Monitor, optimize, preserve and manage change;
• Clone environments;
• Provide general technical support to Services and Development groups.
• Use database/ system management tools proficiently.

Technical Skills:

· Mandatory Skills

• • 3+ years working as a Teradata DBA professionally are ideal.
  • Experience working in a production environment with minimal to no downtime
  • In-depth Understanding of Teradata Architecture
  • Extensive experience in Performance Monitoring ,identifying bottlenecks, error, exception handling tuning of Stored Procedures, T-SQL Queries, Joins, Cursors, long running queries.
  • Extensive experience on Teradata Database Administration Tools.
  • Hands on Experience of Teradata Viewpoint,Teradata Active Systems Management
  • Worked on Index Wizard,Statistics Wizard,Visual Explain
  • Extensive experience in BTEQ, SQL Assistant,Multiload,Fastload,FastExport,Tpump and Archive/Restore
