Job Description
Job Description - Overview:
The SQL developer will be part of a dynamic team of analysts, developers, testers to drive delivery of a B2B solution within the Financial Services industry. The project team will be part of a cross functional AGILE deployment working on a Business Process Automation solution as part of a major Digital Transformation Program.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and design of automation projects focusing on the persistence and database layer
- Design, develop, and optimize schemas, queries, and stored procedures
- Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
- Conduct database maintenance and troubleshooting
- Work on minor bug fixes
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role
- Excellent understanding of relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, Amazon RDS)
- Familiarity with practical application of NoSQL / NewSQL databases
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
Desired Experience & Qualities
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
- Experience working in AGILE teams. Conversant with SDLC automation tools and with AGILE development practices
