Job Description
The Guava Developer ideally will ideally have financial services market experience as well as in-depth knowledge of the Guava modules: Guava Dealer, Guava Risk, Guava Ops and Guava Reporter. There is an opportunity for senior JAVA developers to cross-over and become a Guava treasury systems application developer and add value to the Treasury banking transformation program.
Key Job Functions and Duties:
- Develops and supports customizations of the Guava Treasury banking system.
- Work with other programmers to develop applications for treasury banking systems including what key features system users require in the system as well as integration strategies to update existing treasury banking systems that will transition into the future system build.
- Develop modules of the initial enterprise system plan and work with the development team by coding advanced portions of the modules and delegating routine coding to junior developers
Minimum Qualifications
General skills:
- Good communicator and be comfortable working on a variety of assignments
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills and be result oriented.
- Proven team leadership and cross-team collaboration experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Program and design will adhere to principals and object-oriented design.
- Experience in developing software in Financial services environments that is technically complex and commercially successful.
Desired Experience & Qualities
- Around 3 to 6 years of development experience in treasury banking applications.
- Experience working in Agile teams. Conversant with SDLC automation tools and with Agile development practices.
- JAVA programming experience in the financial services Treasury banking applications.
- Over 5 years of C++/Visual C++ development experience required.
- Microsoft Visual Studio and / or Microsoft Visual C++ 6.00, Win32 SDK a plus.
- Knowledge of design patterns and OOP design practices.
- Java, AJAX and SAP NetWeaver Portal knowledge a plus.
- Over 5 years of C++/Visual C++ development experience required.
- Strong knowledge of version control (i.e. GIT, SVN etc.)
Qualifications and Accreditations:
- Hands on Guava development experience is a plus
