Job Description
The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for assisting the Procurement Manager and Procurement Officer in serving the product and service requirements of the Locales and Head Office.
- Tasked with identifying purchasing priorities and schedules and anticipates supplies delay, shortage, and problem.
- Perform and initiate research and comparative studies to improve quality of products for purchase and the feasibility of usage or material substitutions for better end result or productivity.
- Implement cost-saving measures and economic buying at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must be a graduate of BS Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Computer literate
- With good oral and written communication skills
- With good negotiating skills.
- Physically fit to travel and visit suppliers, offices, locales
- With the sense of urgency and can handle pressure.
