What you will be doing

• Executes project work and revises priorities as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements in a fast paced environment; with and without supervision.
• Develops and implements creative designs with a focus on destination design and varied themes appropriate for different resort locations and project needs.
• Support the design team in the development of conceptual programming, creation of presentation materials, finish and material selection and specifications, and furniture selection and specification.
• Develop and maintain FF&E budgets, assemble presentation boards and materials; and establish relationships with manufacturer’s representatives.
• Construction documents including CAD drafting and FF&E specification writing.
• Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

• Interior Design Degree from an accredited school of design
• Autocad and Sketch up proficiency and specification writing are required.
• Experience in effectively working in teams to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and must be detail oriented.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and architectural documents such as blueprints.
• Carries out any reasonable request by management of which the employee is capable of Performing.
• Ability to communicate, by verbal and written means, clearly and effectively with outside vendors, contractors.and employees of the organization.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Near Completion of Interior Design Degree from an accredited school of Interior Design or achievement of Interior Design Degree
• Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail and routine database activity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch up and rendering software.
• Intermediate level Adobe InDesign and/or Illustrator preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and architectural drawings
