Job Description
- Verifies patient’s information (complete name, birthday, gender) and corrects right away in the LIS system under Patient’s Registration Window.
- Assess patient’s test request to ensure that there are no discrepancies, missing or duplicates in the test order.
- Verifies patient’s diet restrictions including intake of drugs and prudently interviews patient’s personal and family medical history, as well as if there are any present signs and symptoms. Records and enters the necessary information/ data in system
- Reassures patients if they are nervous or distressed.
- Clearly explains the procedure to the patient.
- Obtains blood specimens by performing proper venipuncture and skin puncture technique6.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of B.S. Medical Technology or B.S. Nursing with license and IV or Phlebotomy Training certificate
- With at least 6 month relevant experience
- Must be good in blood extraction
- Must be keen and well organized into details
- Must be good in communication skills both (oral and written)
