Application Engineer  

As a Senior Applications Engineer for Wafer Factory Systems, you will be collaborating with fellow software engineers in designing and developing automated solutions, dashboards and reports that support business critical Wafer Factory processes. Your ability to analyze a problem, devise an efficient and sustainable solution, and deliver that solution in a timely manner will be put to the test - as the team is responsible for ensuring key decision makers have uninterrupted access to accurate and updated data on a daily basis. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to document your work clearly and be able to convey your ideas to your global team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and sustain applications, data transformation processes, dashboards and reports
• Mentor other developers on analytics and BI best practices
• Gather, analyze, and validate business requirements for new projects
• Manage change requests and support tickets for existing systems
• Contribute to design specifications in collaboration with the Technical Lead
• Recommend analytical solutions, dashboard schemes and technology to management
• Write efficient, easy to follow user guides and documentation
• Work with process and manufacturing teams for new product qualification and introduction

REQUIRED:

• Programmer/analyst with 2 to 5 years working experience in a related field
• Extensive hands-on software and reports development experience
• Graduate of IT/Computer Science or similar course
• Willing to work in Binan, Laguna
• Willing to travel for overseas training and work assignments

PREFERRED:

• Background in semiconductor or manufacturing industry
• Experience with big data and data virtualization concepts
• Knowledgeable in statistical analysis techniques, Lean and Six Sigma practices
• Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies

SKILLS:

• Spotfire, Tableau, SAS or similar reporting platforms
• SQL scripting, C# ASP(MVC) , C#(WCF), Python, JMP
• HTML, CSS, AJAX scripting
• Tibco Data Virtualization
