Job Description
Healthy Options, the country's first and only one-stop shop for organic and natural products, is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist in Farm and Manufacturing. We are looking for a QA Specialist with background and experience in meat processing. The QA Specialist is expected to:
- Screen produce delivered by suppliers against product standards
- Oversee food safety and sensory evaluation tests
- Report test results and recommendations
- Ensure proper implementation of industry standards on meat processing
- Coordinate production and delivery activities
- Generate reports on processes, results and evaluations
- Make process and quality improvement recommendations based on latest applicable technology and industry best practices.
- Develop the Business Units QA System from supplier, incoming materials, in-line production, up to finished goods
- Develop and improve Organic Products safety, shelf-life, packaging, and consumer acceptability & through R&D
- Establish and manage Business Unit's laboratory operation
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Food Technology, BS Agriculture or any related academic programs, with a specialization in Meat Science
- Non-smoker
- High expertise in meat quality evaluation and development
- Has experience in food product development
- Preferably with experience in post-harvest fresh produce handling
- Preferably knowledgeable in Organic Agriculture
- With at least 2 years of experience in a meat manufacturing industry or research
- With working knowledge in GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000
- Willing to travel across the Philippines
- Preferably knows how to drive
- Willing to be assigned in night shifts
