Production Officer

We are currently looking for a Production Officer to join our Farm Category team who will control the process of ensuruing consistent and high quality fresh produce and meats.

The Production Officer oversees fresh produce processing and meat fabrication operations. S/he is tasked to guarantee that production line remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.

The Production Officer is an integral part of the company. They must be competent to comprehend complex operations to optimize day-to-day activities to ensure a safe environment and high-quality products while minimizing costs.

Job Responsibilities

• Plans and organizes production. Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
• Ensure the safe and use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
• Ensures stock control and ordering supplies
• Ensures production lines meets production targets
• Ensures accurate inventory of raw materials, production supplies, finished goods, and equipment
• Carry-out quality control checks. Inspects production output according to specifications
• Submits on-time, complete, and accurate production records, progress and performance reports,
• Develops and trains staff
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
• Ensures accurate and on-time delivery of goods to the stores
• Maintains personal hygiene
• Ensures clean and organized production facility
• Oversees and coaches employees
• Enforces strict safety and quality guidelines and other company standards
• Other activities

• Graduate of BS Agriculture (Animal Production/Science), BS Industrial Engineering or any related field
• At least 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Flexibility and initiative
• Ability to make sound and independent decisions
• Willing to work long hours and in a farm processing facility
• NON-SMOKER
