Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all three of the company’s manufacturing locations meet the customer’s expectations in terms of manufacturing equipment, systems and methodologies
- Communicate manufacturing requirements / best practices to each location and partner with local production teams on roll-out manufacturing initiatives in way that is beneficial and cost effective
- Oversee preparation of local manufacturing reports sent to the customer
- Prepare global-level manufacturing reports to be sent to the customer
- The candidate will be the key point of contact with the customer’s global Manufacturing Engineer Director and regional Senior Manager and will be expected to host visits, showcase factory best practices and prepare update documents (usually PowerPoint)
- Support apparel development team, innovation team and mechanics team on rollout of automated production equipment, sewing machine attachments and templates
- Document and share machine/equipment investment appraisals: Carry out ROI calculations on new production machinery available in the market (that will boost quality, flexibility, speed and/or cost effectiveness)
Minimum Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering majoring in Industrial, Manufacturing, Operations and related field
- 7-10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing process preferably in apparel industry
- Keen to details, with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to handle multiple competing priorities, and a strong customer focus.
- Ability to identify critical paths and execute.
- Understands operations and process flow related to the construction of a garment (e.g. Fabric inspection, cutting, heat transfer, sewing, finishing, and shipping).
- Basic technical understanding of the sewing construction of apparel products
- Willing to be based in Cebu/Central Luzon and travel inland and abroad
