Job Description
- Responsible for planning and selecting a range of products.
- Source new merchandise and review existing ones to ensure products remain competitive.
- Able to maximize profits and provide a commercially viable range of merchandise at competitive prices.
- Keep up to date with market trends and respond to changes.
- Considering the following factors when making purchasing decisions: customer demand (e.g. price, quality and availability); market trends; online store policy; financial budgets.
- Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract.
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products
- Liaising with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are completed
- Attending trade fairs in the Philippines and overseas, to select and assemble a new collection of products
Minimum Qualifications
- With at least 1 year experience as a Merchandiser/Buyer preferably in Direct Selling and Multi-Level Marketing Industry.
- Exposure to online retailing is a PLUS.
- Has strong analytical skills ranging from interpretation of retail data to management of supplier accounts, sales forecasting, and budgeting.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills have the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- With attention to detail, able to make quick decisions without sacrificing quality and integrity.
- Well established branded contacts in your category.
- Experience in building commercially successful ranges.
- Exposure to online buying would be highly advantageous.
